- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I went in to get my 12 year old daughter vaccinated for school because her regular doctor didn't have any appointments available. While we were there the NP asked me if I'd had my shingles vaccination. I told him no and he said he had just gotten his and that he would check my insurance to see if I was covered. He said I was. So I agreed to get it. A month or so later I get a bill for $233. Turns out I'm not 60 and I don't qualify for it. The clinic will not waive the cost and insists I pay the bill because I signed the financial responsibility form. Not only am I not paying, I am taking the matter up with the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General. I was tricked into taking an unnecessary vaccination but and I'm pretty sure upselling medical procedures is illegal to begin with.March 19, 2017by Bob Nolan
